Senator Inouye Congratulates Mauna Lani Resort
State Sen. Lorraine Inouye represented the Hawai'i State Senate at the celebration
of the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Mauna Lani Resort.
Senator Inouye presented a Certificate of Congratulations to the resort
management and staff that praised Mauna Lani for being "a symbol of
culture, hospitality and aloha."
The certificate honored the late Francis H. I'i Brown and the late Noboru
Gotoh, CEO of Japan's Tokyu Corporation, for their vision in creating the
resort and preserving the oceanfront land as a special place.
"The resort is renowned for its long-standing devotion to preserving
and enhancing the cultural history of Hawai'i," the certificate said.
Senator Inouye said Mauna Lani is a world-class resort because of the personalized
attention and gentle aloha offered by the wonderful staff.
"The staff and management are dedicated professionals who are committed
to providing the highest level of service and the warmest aloha to their
guests. It was an honor for me to join them in the 25th anniversary celebration,"
Sen. Inouye said.
