Thank You! Thank You! Thank you to the hundreds of supporters who joined our campaign for the blessing and opening of our East Hawai'i headquarters March 20 at the Kaikodo Building, 64 Keawe Street.

It was a wonderful party! Hundreds of people joined in the East Hawai'i Headquarters blessing and opening held March 20 at the Kaikodo Building by the Friends For Lorraine For Mayor Committee.

"I am so grateful to the many friends and supporters who have come from around our island to support my candidacy," Sen. Lorraine Rodero Inouye said.

Sen. Inouye said she was especially honored to welcome retired State Rep. Helene Hale, an exceptional public servant who is celebrating her 90th birthday, and Uncle George Naope, founder of the Merrie Monarch Festival, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday.

Sen. Inouye also thanked the campaign team, headed by Charmaine Kamaka and Dan Sakai, for all of their hard work, energy and enthusiasm in making the headquarters party such a great success.

"I love you guys," Lorraine told her supporters.

"Our campaign will focus on positive issues and solutions addressing the concerns of people around the island. We will address jobs and economic opportunity, traffic congestion, health and safety needs, solid waste disposal, over-regulation by government, protection and promotion of agriculture, recycling and our sustainable future," she said.

"With your help, our campaign will unify our island. We will not divide. We will stand for openness and a fair share for all of our communities.

"I trust in you, my friends and supporters, to help me carry this message of unity and fairness," she said.

Our team in West Hawai'i is working on opening headquarters in the near future.
